More About Fred

In 1998, I was curious about what my friend, Alicia, was doing with all this fabric.  She would cut up perfectly nice sheets of fabric only to sew it back together.  It was then I realized what quilting was about - taking one thing and re-imagining it into another.  She encouraged me to try it - something small.  And then it happened - I was kinda hooked.   

Over the next few years I joined a guild, took some really awesome classes and began teaching quilting within local community.   Since then, well, I've been exploring my maker side, buying a whole lot more fabric, making many quilts and learning much more about color and design.  More recently I stepped into long arm quilting and got myself a fancy schmancy machine.   With my techie BFF, we also developed an app for the iPhone - My Quilt Buddy.  Check it out! 

Some future goals:  I have my sights on fabric design and getting back into teaching quilting.  Improving my long arm skills - and perhaps top quilting as a business venture isn't out of the question.  Lots in store.  Bring on the fabric and let the threads roll!
